Thanksgiving is just one week from today!!
(Pause for a momentary SQUEAL!!!!!!)
This year is proving to be the very first Thanksgiving in which I will cook everything completely by myself (with the exception of a little help by the Boo) and that is exciting and scary all at the same time.
(Pause for slight questioning of self and culinary abilities. Forge ahead with renewed [unmerited] confidence and naivete.)
So as the planner in me is so inclined to do, I've been planning our Thanksgiving menu for, oh, the last 4 months. This is the most recent (and most likely, final) draft.
Turkey, duh.
Stuffing
Mashed Potatoes and Gravy
Green Bean Casserole
Squash Casserole
Sweet Potatoes with brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg (for the Boo)
Cranberry Relish
Croissants (minus the Chinese placard)
Pumpkin Pecan Pie
And of course lots and lots of this...
Everything is being made from scratch. No Stove Top, canned Cranberry or Instant Mashed Potatoes. Uh uh. All homemade and hopefully it turns out as good as my childhood remembers it.
What are you all having/making for Thanksgiving?

I'm very impressed that you're cooking all of this on your own! It all sounds delicious!
Great now I'm even hungrier than I was before. I think I'm going to need to eat before this movie so my stomach doesn't deafen people.
Good luck on the cooking (and have fun with the clean-up after).
that is a massive amount for just you and ryan? or are you minimizing the portions?? don't get overwhelmed and good luck, i have yet to make a whole thanksgiving meal on my own, i just do the pumpkin pie, Easter was always my cooking holiday..
