This morning I stepped on the scale for my weekly weigh in and heavens to murgatroyd what is that?? I’ve officially lost over 10 lbs!!!
(Pause for gasps of disbelief and skepticism.)
Now I realize that it’s been about a month since I started my new healthy lifestyle. (I don’t like to call it a 'diet' cause it sounds to fad-y and transitory. Rather, 'lifestyle' forces the change to become permanent and eventually so ingrained that it comes as easily as breathing. Hopefully.) But, give me some credit for Christmas and New Years and all that holiday bullshit in there that tried (and slightly succeeded) in throwing me off course. But despite it all I’m still 10 pounds lighter than I was a month ago and I’m feeling fabulous. Extra energy, more confidence, better sleep.
Honestly, I don’t know why I didn’t do this earlier.
(Ok, I lied. I do know. It’s because I’m lazy and opposed to change. But I’m working on it.)
So here it is…me ten pounds less.

oooh nice, you look great in the pic. congrats :)
First of all, congrats and you look beautiful!
Second, my heritage is European and we (at least "my people") have a very particular approach to food. It has never failed me and I've never been over weight, or on a diet.
That's why I'm glad to see you use the word lifestyle, instead of diet.
congrats!
i am running a 1/2 marathon in 10 weeks so i'm running everyday to train for that. setting a goal helps a lot with a healthy lifestyle - i suggest running! try a 5k or a 10k
You look great!
Congrats, you look awesome!
And I like this idea of calling it a lifestyle change. The whole "diet" thing isn't working for me, so maybe I'll give that naming a go...
YOU are adorable.
:)
i heart your hair and style.
muah!
Ahh congratulations!
I'm so jealous of you right now it's not even funny. You inspire me. I swore off soda for my New Years resolution, and definitely had two today already. Ugh.
I think I'm going to have to give your lifestyle a shot... there's no motivation quite like seeing it work for someone else!
You look amazing girl :)
Lookin' goooooood! =o)
Congrats!
My motivation: I come from a family where we take the scales out and weigh ourselves, everyone teases and laughs- it's all done in good spirit but I'm really insecure about weight, so it keeps me off the high fatty stuff!

To all - THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You guys are seriously the greatest. And wayyy too kind. Thanks for the support. It's just the motivation I need to keep working hard!
xoxo
